What do cellulite treatments involve?

How do I get rid of cellulite you ask? We use non-invasive Ultrasonic Cavitation a safe and effective treatment to eradicate stubborn cellulite which uses ultrasound waves to penetrate deep to the fat tissue under the skin, known as subcutaneous fat layer. The waves target the problematic areas to break down unwanted cellulite, turning solid fatty tissue to liquidated state, and then removing the liquidised fat through the body’s natural excretory processes to improve the skin’s appearance.

To speed up the process of removing liquidated fat, to get rid of cellulite on the legs our Pressotherapy Lymphatic Drainage suit massage the lymph nodes to expel toxins from the body. For treatment on the buttocks area, liquidised fat removal is accelerated using Electrostimulation to remove toxins.

Radiofrequency is another great cellulite treatment that works using Radiofrequency waves and heat to target enlarged fat cells and break down cellulite. The waves tighten the fibrous layer of tissue at the interface of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, thus reducing cellulite and remodelling the collagen to smooth and tighten the skin. The most appropriate treatments to reduce cellulite quickly will be discussed at the consultation.

Fractional Mesotherapy may also be suitable to gain the most desirable results. The treatment uses controlled wounding to create tiny channels via short fine needles (0.1mm to 0.5mm) in the deeper dermal layers of the skin which naturally stimulate collagen production in the body and renew skin cells. As the needle depth is so short, no topical numbing cream is required.

This process triggers the onset of the body’s natural wound healing process where growth factors are stimulated and two of the key building blocks of the skin – new collagen and elastin are produced, causing older, damaged collagen to break down, with no outward signs of damage. A highly concentrated sterile product solution made up of antioxidant vitamins, peptides and growth factors is applied to the skin to enhance results and make the treatment more comfortable.

The result is even skin, free of cellulite and dimples.

How do cellulite treatments feel?

Ultrasonic Cavitation and Radiofrequency cellulite reduction treatments are pain free, needle free with no downtime. With Ultrasonic Cavitation the greatest sensation will be the high pitched sound you will hear due to the ultrasonic waves, however this is harmless and a sensation you will easily become familiar with. There may be temporary redness following this treatment but should settle by the end of the day.

Electrostimulation can feel tickly when the intensities of the electrical impulses vary. Pressotherapy is relaxing as vacuumed air is released and compressed so it feels like you are having a massage and Radiofrequency is relaxing with sensations of therapeutic heat.

Fractional Mesotherapy feels rather like sunburn with the effects subsiding the following morning.

What is cellulite and what causes it?

Cellulite is the orange peel like texture and lumpy, uneven appearance due to underlying fat deposits.

It mainly affects more women than men due to particular fat types and connective tissue in the problematic area and can affect all sizes. Cellulite often appears on the backs of legs, thighs and buttocks. Cellulite forms in areas with the least blood circulation. Regular vigorous exercise such as running and cycling can help keep it at bay. Various factors influence the onset of cellulite – dieting too hard or too much, diets high in fat, consumption of processed foods, genetics and hormonal factors (oestrogen is said to be one of the main hormones to aggravate cellulite).

How do I know this is the right treatment for me?

What happens following the treatment?

You should expect to see impressive results with the significant reduction of cellulite as well as your weight and fat ratio reducing too. No recovery time is needed as no needles are involved in Ultrasonic Cavitation or Radiofrequency, therefore normal activities can be resumed. In between treatments we recommend following the sensible dietary advice given and keeping active for just 10 minutes a day.

A course of cellulite reduction treatments is recommended to achieve the optimum results and regular twin treatments lasting 1.5 hours, for 5 weeks will give you dramatic results. In the first few treatments you will begin to notice the difference with the most dramatic results being seen at the end of the treatment course, it will be as if the cellulite was never there. Provided you maintain your weight and eat a healthy diet, the results should be long lasting.

Following Fractional Mesotherapy the skin will be red for a few hours with the feeling of sunburn subsiding the following morning can be carried out fortnightly.
