Why you should get your eyebrows done professionally

Posted on March 6, 2017

Eyebrows are arguably the most important feature on our faces. You may not take much notice of eyebrows, but that’s only when they’re done properly. How many times do you notice bad eyebrows? Exactly.

But it turns out we should be paying close attention to other people’s brows. Researchers have discovered that the eyebrows are the most expressive part of the face and we can decode emotions through looking at someone’s eyebrows. If you want to find out what someone really thinks – the answer is in their brows!

Cosmetics brand Benefit partnered up with MIT Professor of Neuroscience Dr Javid Sadr to conduct the research into the role eyebrows play in facial recognition.

Whilst studying the upper, middle and lower parts of the face, the research found that the upper part of the face, which contains the eyebrows, was key in displaying the six universally recognised emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise and disgust.

Benefit has now launched their own brow translator to let people see what their eyebrows are really saying.

So if you want to portray a specific emotion, or you’re stretching the truth a little, make sure your eyebrows aren’t giving you away! Which is why it makes sense to always get them done professionally.

Whether you’re male or female, having perfectly sculpted brows is a must. Not only does it allow you to accurately convey your emotions, but having good brow game can completely change the look of your face. We all went through the phase in the noughties of having over plucked brows the width of dental floss, but in this day and age, there is no excuse for having bad brows.

Because there are professionals on hand.

Here at Rejuvenate, our HD Hair Simulated Feathered Brow treatment is the perfect way to ensure you’ve got perfect brows 24/7. This semi permanent eyebrow treatment is ideal for those who have a lack of eyebrow hair caused by either over plucking, or medical conditions such as alopecia and chemotherapy. As we age, we tend to lose our eyebrow hair too. This treatment means you don’t need to fill in your eyebrows every day with makeup pencils and powders – saving you time and money in the long run.

We deliver natural looking brows using ultra fine hair strokes in either one or multiple colours. This technique can enhance the natural shape, give symmetry and add length to tails of the brows where they are missing.

Our brow treatments are available for both men and women. For semi permanent makeup for eyes and lips in Manchester, contact us at Rejuvenate.
